Vision
To make documented airtightness a natural part of every construction process, thereby ensuring that the buildings of the future live up to their full potential in terms of quality, energy efficiency, and durability.
Mission
We develop technology for ongoing quality assurance and documentation of vapour barriers. By identifying leaks during construction and verifying the final result through final testing, we help construction professionals build it right the first time, reduce energy loss, and eliminate unnecessary costs associated with corrective measures.
LeakHunter began as an idea back in 2008, when Lars noticed that a large number of projects failed the final pressure test. This included cases where the quality and tightness of the installed vapour barrier/building envelope were unsatisfactory. For example, the entire first floor might have to be rebuilt, which could quickly cost over 500,000 kr. in additional work.
It became clear that if there were a tool on the construction site that could identify where the leaks were and ensure that the overall airtightness of the building was satisfactory, it would save a lot of frustration and money. And that is exactly what LeakHunter can do.
Technical Advisor / Partner – Bricklayer & Civil Engineer.
Lars is the ideas man behind LeakHunter. Lars has many years of experience with pressure testing and blower door tests and has measured practically every building challenge related to airtightness.
Since 2004, Lars has been working with Roskilde Technical School on
continuing education courses on installing vapor barriers, which are now an integral part of the carpentry training program. Lars’ curiosity and extensive knowledge of installing vapor barriers and pressure testing have laid the foundation for the development of LeakHunter.
CTO / Partner – Mechanical Engineer.
Anders is a passionate mechanical engineer with an eye for detail. Anders is the CTO and oversees the technical development of LeakHunter.
”Developing the LeakHunter device has been quite a journey. The first prototype looked like a space rocket and weighed over 40 kg. Now we finally have the LeakHunter, the result of a multi-year development project carried out in collaboration with DTU and a wide range of subcontractors. The fact that we’ve managed to create a compact and intuitive product that can help tradespeople ensure the quality of their work—and even push the construction industry toward greater sustainability—is, to me, really cool. Good luck!”
CEO / Partner – Management & Business Development.
In 2026, Jesper joined LeakHunter as CEO and co-owner. He has run his own business for over 20 years and brings to LeakHunter many years of experience as a business consultant and board chairman at several Danish companies. Throughout his career, he has gained extensive experience in business development and strategy in both growth and transformation initiatives.
Together with LeakHunter’s highly skilled development and technical team—Anders Rostén and Lars Due—Jesper helps ensure that LeakHunter can deliver even better solutions to the industry.
Administration.
Rikke is an important part of LeakHunter's administrative team and is responsible for bookkeeping and invoicing at LeakHunter, among other things. In addition, Rikke is also a member of the marketing team.
Commercial Operations – Sales & Marketing.
Alexander has a broad background in sales and marketing and holds a wide-ranging role at LeakHunter. Among other things, Alexander is responsible for the website, social media, warehouse, logistics, production and sales of LeakHunter, in both the Danish and export markets. Alexander also carries out pressure tests and smoke tests.
The construction industry accounts for 38.4 % of all waste in the EU (Eurostat, 2022). Every time a building fails the airtightness test and the vapor barrier has to be opened and redone, materials, time, and money are wasted.
We’d like to change that. Our vision is to make documented airtightness a natural part of every construction process. With LeakHunter, you can continuously monitor airtightness in Cruise mode and locate leaks while the structure is still open—so that defects are corrected immediately rather than being discovered during final testing.
Sustainable construction isn’t just about the materials. Biogenic materials and a low carbon footprint during the construction phase are important, but air leaks result in heat loss that wastes energy throughout the building’s entire lifespan. Improving airtightness from 1.0 to 0.2 l/s per m² saves approximately 4–5 kWh/m² per year in heating costs—and airtightness costs virtually nothing in terms of materials, only care and inspection.
